Cerita silat (literally: silat story, pronouced as: cheareeta seelat) is a genre of Indonesian literature very similar to wuxia of the Chinese literature. Stories of this type are always full of martial art spices and generate addiction among their readers [1][2]. But unlike wuxia, which only tells about Chinese martial arts heroes and legends, cerita silat is richer. It also includes other types of martial arts which exist in Indonesia, such as pencak silat, or silat tenaga dalam.
