Kho Ping Hoo or Asmaraman Sukowati Kho Ping Hoo (Sragen, August 17th, 1926 - Solo, July 22nd, 1994)  Indonesian writer, if not the greatest, of cerita silat genre. Though he was educated only until the first grade of HIS (Hollandsche Inlandsche School), he had a lot of motivation and interest in reading and writing [1] He had written between 120 stories [2] and 140 stories [3] during his 30 years career. He had written stories in both Chinese and Javanese environments. He died in 1994 of heart failure.
